India Tax & Salary Calculators

Calculators built around Indian tax and employment rules: income tax (old vs new regime), HRA exemption and gratuity.

About these calculators

These three calculators follow Indian tax and employment rules, and the income tax and HRA pages name the financial years they cover. Income Tax Calculator compares the old and new regimes for a salaried income and shows the taxable income and total tax, including cess, under each, then says which costs less. It takes your gross salary and, for the old regime, an HRA exemption and deductions such as eligible investments, own NPS contributions, home loan interest and health insurance. HRA Exemption Calculator applies the least-of-three rule, comparing the HRA you receive, the rent paid minus a share of salary, and a percentage of salary that depends on whether you live in a metro city. It then shows the exempt and taxable parts of your HRA.

Gratuity Calculator estimates the amount from your wages and years of service for permanent or fixed-term employees, with different formulas depending on whether the employer is covered by the gratuity law, and it states the minimum service needed. The slabs, rebates, rates and limits used are kept in one place and were last confirmed on 2 October 2026, and each page explains its formula with a worked example. These are estimates for planning, not tax or legal advice, and they cannot see your actual payslip, employer policy or other income. Everything is calculated in your browser.
